Why We Created TELQA

We started with a simple question: why is it so difficult to buy and sell Algerian brands online, when there is so much talent in this country.
There are incredible creators all across Algeria: thoughtfully designed fashion, handcrafted jewelry, and regional specialties you cannot find anywhere else. Yet most of these brands remain hidden, caught between an Instagram profile and word of mouth that never reaches far enough.
On the other side, there are shoppers eager to support homegrown makers, but who hesitate because nothing guarantees they will receive what they ordered. We knew there needed to be a home where both could meet with total confidence.
A home, not just another platform
We did not want to create a carbon copy of foreign marketplaces, nor a generic directory where everything looks identical and only ad spend gets noticed.
We wanted a home: a place where every Algerian brand is vetted before opening its doors, where every creation is celebrated for its genuine craftsmanship, and where buyers know there is a real, dependable business behind every checkout.
That is why we called it TELQA. Not an imported buzzword, just an authentic word that represents who we are.
How we build it
We built TELQA around one clear rule: we only succeed when our brands sell. No monthly subscription fee just to be listed, no hidden overhead—just a 7% commission on confirmed sales.
We integrated reliable carriers spanning all 58 wilayas, so a maker in Annaba can deliver to a customer in Tlemcen with zero hassle. We integrated payment options that Algerians actually use, from Cash on Delivery to secure online payments. And we continue to build, week after week, alongside the makers who believed in us from day one.
What we hope for
We hope that one day, buying from an Algerian brand online will feel as natural as walking into your favorite neighborhood boutique, and that any emerging creator can flourish without having to choose between crafting and managing complicated logistics.
This is the path we have taken. We are just getting started, but we are moving forward together.
